Moldavite Raw Loose Crystals

Moldavite is a Tektite and a natural glass which was created by a meteorite impact near the Czech Republic somewhere around 14.5 million years ago in the mid-European tektite field in Bohemia. This amazing mineral/impact glass is an amorphous SiO2 silica glass with ‘wires’ of Lechatelierite which forms at very high temperature due to shock metamorphism, lightening strike, or impact cratering. Moldavite is revered by Collectors for its beautiful unique pitted shapes, and varied colors of green, which makes this mineral a must for any Tektite or Crystal Collection!
