Kyanite Freeform Polished
Kyanite is an aluminosilicate mineral (aka. Cyanite), that is found in metamorphic rocks in fanned fibrous masses or longer blades, and can be translucent or pearly in color. This beautiful crystal was named in 1789 by A.G. Werner after the Greek word, “Kuanos” meaning ‘Blue. Ranging from a Deep Blue or Indigo, light Blue, Yellow, Green, Gray and Black, this crystal family can be found near quartz deposits which accent and enhance its energetic qualities. Today, Kyanite is found in many areas around the globe such as Brazil, Africa, Mexico, Switzerland, USA, and most recently found in Nepal and Tibet.
