Bumblebee 🐝 Jasper, although not a true Jasper, is a calcite based stone such as Travertine, and comes in brilliant colors. With an amazing combination of complex calcium carbonate, with inclusions of arsenic and manganese oxides, this what give this unique crystal the beautiful colors with striations of yellow (sulfur), orange (Orpiment and Realgar), black (Pyrite), tan, and white (Aragonite). The interesting patterns resemble the colors of a bumblebee. This beautiful and mysterious stone comes from only (1) place, the active Papandyan Volcano, and was recently found in the West Java Province of Indonesia around 2003.
