Desert Lavender is also known as Bee Sage, Yerba del Becerro, and is from the ‘Condea emoryi’ (species Hyptis emoryi) that part of the Lamiaceae or Mint Family. Naturally grown in higher elevations in the Sonoran Desert and in the Baja region, this native plant has been used by the indigenous tribes for its medicinal properties.
